Hyaluronic acid is a high molecular polymer.

It is a high polysaccharide composed of d-glucuronic acid and n-acetylglucosamine.

The d-glucuronic acid and n-acetylglucosamine are connected by the uppermost 1, 3-glycosylate key, while the double glycosaccharide unit is connected by the sweet-1, 4-glycosylate key.

Disaccharide units can reach up to 25,000.

The molecular weight of hyaluronic acid in the body ranges from 5,000 to 20 million dors.
